Today June 28th there was a seminar on the subject of body image and self-image which was organized the Young Women Parliament of Beit Jan. The girls presented their hard work in a movie they created with the help of their facilitator Rawan Salaha .
Next we were fortunate to hear the talk of Balig Sladeen on the subject “Love thyself”.
The girls worked very hard. They learned the subject for hours and hours and were very successful in organizing, advertising and marketing the event. It was just to bad that the residents of Beit Jan dud not appreciated their work and were unrequited in their presence. Unfortunately it is present in all strata of age. And we have to deal with that and take action! From this we learned how to continue lead a significant and value changes.
We appreciate everyone who came and respected us in his presence, a huge thank you to those who work so hard and in guiding the girls Ruan Slalha, and the activist Balig Sladeen

About the movie:
A short activist film. The film embodies some of the process the girls went through last year and expresses their identification with feminist content they had never known before.

“Girls’ Parliament” was founded on the inspiration and support of women’s parliament and the Local Council, Beit Jan Comprehensive School and S.H.I.N Association as a stage for girls, to strengthen their gender awareness and train them to fight for their rights in society
